Fat Genes

Fat Genes – Have You Got Them?

Do you blame inherited fat genes for your overweight problem.  The belief that fat runs in families or that the tendency to be overweight is in the genes defies the rules of nature.

We all agree that man is an animal and of the animal kingdom and to see the obvious lie in the belief in genes or family dispositions all we have to do is look at nature.  In the wild overweight animals don’t exist, there are none.  Look at a herd of wildebeest, how many of them are overweight?  How about a pride of lions where are the tubby ones and their genetically overweight offspring?

How about indigenous people, Amazonians or Africans, there are still enough unspoiled tribes left to know that obesity doesn’t exist within them?  If there are such things as fat families why didn’t they exist in nature, or in people who still live according to natural ways?  It makes more sense that ways of eating and relating to food are the things that run in families and are picked up by children rather than faulty genetics.

Every individual in a pack of wolves or jackals is equally lean but if we are to believe medical consensus we would have to agree that some of them should be less lean than others.  The only animals that are prone to become obese are those that live with humans or those that are pumped full of unnatural hormones for the production of meat.

If you’ve ever wondered why pets often become obese while animals in nature remain slim it’s because the food we give our pets contains a high amount of carbohydrates.  No animals in the wild eat carbohydrates; animals fall into two classes, herbivores, eating only plants and fruits or carnivores, eating only flesh.  Carbohydrates are the main culprits in the obesity crisis.

If you really want to become slim and to enjoy better health and vitality it’s imperative that you cut down on carbohydrates and eat more natural foods.  Let go of the belief that you are destined to be overweight too, it’s not true.

Going on a Diet

Why Going on a Diet Never Works

How many times have you been on a diet?  How many times has your diet failed?   Had you any idea that almost every single person who goes on a diet fails and yet the world and its dog is on a diet the majority of the time.  How many people, worldwide, do you suppose go on a diet on any given day?  I expect the figure is in the millions; yes that’s millions of people starting a diet every single day and the majority of them destined to fail.

Why is that?  Have you any idea why the majority of dieters fail after going on a diet? Have you any idea why you’ve failed so many times before? Did you think lack of willpower was behind many of the failures, lack of motivation or greed?  If you did you could be wrong, the answer may be much simpler than that.

The problem lies with terminology, the words we use and the thoughts we speak.  The subconscious part of our mind is responsible for any weight gain or loss; it is in charge of the body.  However, although it is in charge of all bodily conditions, it is under the complete domination of the conscious mind; the part we think with.

The subconscious part of mind listens carefully to the things you say and think and it acts on every one of them.  It has to listen carefully, as it is the power behind the throne and the only part that gets things done.  It only knows how to carry out your orders.  It cannot think for itself and it cannot argue; it is completely naive and childlike. Consciously both you and I and everyone else you talk to understands perfectly what you mean when you declare you are going on a diet.  We all know that the purpose of the exercise is to lose weight.

We know that because we can use logic and using logic we can deduce the reason for the diet, especially if the speaker is overweight, but the subconscious part of yours and ever other mind is not logical.  It can only act from simple instructions and so when you say that you are going on a diet, you literally get exactly that – a diet.

The subconscious mind knows what a diet is, it’s been well trained and programmed; it knows all there is to know about diets.  It knows, in all probability, that diets are hard, that they are restrictive, that you have to count calories, go without and deny yourself all the good things in life.  So that’s what happens.  You go hungry, it’s hard, you count calories, cut out fat and sugar and get miserable, because apart from all the austerity nothing much may be happening.

Maybe on week one you lose a little, week two you put it all back on again and week three, after losing a little more you give up and all because you decided you were going on a diet. Deciding to go on a diet is as mad as deciding to go on a journey and no sane person you know would make such a decision.  When is the last time one of your friends or family told you they were going on a journey, without having an end destination in mind that is?

What would happen to a person who set off on a journey, just a journey?  Presumably they would go round and round, filling up with fuel now and again but getting nowhere because they had nowhere to go.  They are only on a journey remember.  This is exactly what the person who is going on a diet is doing.  They are dieting, and dieting is hard, restrictive and unpleasant but they aren’t actually going anywhere because they haven’t said where they are going.

Those who succeed; those who shed the weight and arrive at their destination are those who decided where their diet would take them.  Every diet is a journey and every successful diet has to have a destination too.  The person who decides, “I must be slim for my daughters wedding in August because I want to look good on the day,” has a massively increased chance of arriving at her destination than the one who goes on a diet.

Make sure you decide where you’re heading and plan your estimated time of arrival too.  That way, the part of you that carries on all the work behind the scenes receives a clear picture of where you’re going.

Conscious Eating

Can Conscious Eating Help Me To Lose Weight?

which diets workIf you are clinically obese or putting on weight rapidly have you ever thought how others see you while eating, or are you one of those people who eats in secret?

One very obese lady told me, “I eat hardly anything, my work colleagues and friends worry about me because I eat so little.” Well I’m sorry but I just didn’t believe her and said so, although she carried on insisting it was true.

Whether you’re a secret eater/binge eater or not, watch obese people eat and you’ll notice that all overweight people take huge bites or forkfuls of food. (A trip to MacDonald’s will enable you to see unconscious eating in all its glory.)

Obese people chew very little. Try taking a huge mouthful of food and attempt to chew it, it just doesn’t work as there’s too much food in the mouth to chew! It just starts to spill out of the mouth all over the place or else your mouth and face is so contorted it’s either amusing or sickening to watch.

The only way you can eat and chew properly is by putting a small amount of food on your fork at each mouthful or taking a much smaller bite of your sandwich than normal. This is how you were born to eat. If you eat differently now it’s because you have trained yourself to eat this way. If you are having difficulty adjusting imagine you are having dinner with the Queen or a celebrity you fancy the pants off. Would you eat in a most unattractive way while dining with them?

Conscious Eating

Dainty eaters are slim, it’s a fact! Watch slim people eat and compare them to fat people and you’ll get some idea of the concept of slowing down and eating. No matter where you picked up the ‘fast eating’ habit or how long you’ve been doing it you can remind yourself to eat slowly, consciously and daintily. This is conscious eating, taking time to eat properly, to enjoy your food and to savour it. Conscious eating will help you to become slim.

‘The quickest way to minimise the amount of food you are eating is to maximise the amount of time you take to eat it.’

Does The Chew Chew Diet Work

How Does the Chew Chew Diet Work?

The chew chew diet became fashionable in the Victorian era.  It was a way of losing weight without actually dieting, in fact all foods are allowed as long as each mouthful of food is chewed thoroughly.  I suspect the idea for the chew chew diet may have come from India; an old Indian proverb states, ‘if you want to live a long and healthy life, drink your food and chew your water.’

The Indians somehow knew that there are more gastric juices in the mouth than in the stomach and that digestion is supposed to start there.  Their reasons for making sure their food was thoroughly chewed before swallowing were less about losing weight and more about being healthy.

According to ancient Indian wisdom thoroughly chewing foods cuts out the risk of food poisoning as the gastric juices in the mouth will have had time to kill off any harmful bacteria before the food is swallowed.  They recommended chewing the food until it became liquidized before swallowing it.  This, they said, was the path to health and vitality.

Eating like this involves eating consciously or in other words being aware of the food we are eating while eating it.  Unfortunately, modern man has begun to eat unconsciously, eating his food quickly, while doing other things and this is the main cause of the obesity epidemic.

Eating unconsciously will make you fat for the following reasons:

• “You take no notice of the food you are eating meaning you eat too much of it.”
• “You eat much quicker and tend to take bigger mouthfuls without chewing enough.”
• “You do not chew your food properly so digestion is not happening in the way it should.”
• “You take no notice of the effect of the food on your body meaning you don’t recognize feelings of fullness until it’s too late.”

It takes at least 20 minutes for the message to get from the stomach to the brain to signal you are full and if you’ve consumed everything on your plate within 10 minutes you will more than likely have overeaten. Besides, food portions are so much bigger these days than in the past.

Slow down, eat consciously and chew each mouthful at least 30 times. This will give you time to receive the messages your stomach is sending to your brain to say it’s full. When you slow down and focus on what you are eating; when you eat food slowly and consciously you will begin to recognize your body’s signals.

You’ll also notice that these signals happen when you have only consumed approximately half of what you normally eat. When you get the signals it’s time to stop, push away your plate!

Relax, you don’t need to waste  the food, you can cling film it and save it for later or even give it to the dog, the choice is yours. When you eat in this way you are emulating those people who have had an actual gastric band fitted. That’s how they have to eat, slowly and consciously, chewing every mouthful. If a person with an actual gastric band swallows any morsel of food larger than the rubber on the end of a pencil they will have to regurgitate (be sick), to remove it, as it will not pass through into the stomach.  In fact what a gastric band does is force the person who has it fitted to eat correctly.

Sit Down at the Table to Eat

Sit down at the table to eat and concentrate on your food while you are eating it. Eating consciously is the thing that will make the most difference to your quest for slimness. To eat consciously means to be conscious of the food you are eating and not the book you are reading, the TV program you are watching, the work you are doing or the PC you are focusing on.

Eat everything with a knife and fork and put your knife and fork down between each mouthful while you chew your food thoroughly. The sloppy, American habit of eating only with a fork not only looks bad it is a ticket to obesity. You might as well have a mini digger in your hand to shovel your food down. Most people who eat this way lean over the plate, they have to as their fork is usually so full it is shedding food from all sides as it’s lifted, and they shovel the food in as if on a conveyor belt.

There is very little enjoyment in eating in this way as all of your taste buds are in your mouth and the food is usually swallowed down so quickly it is hardly tasted. If you love your food then why not savor it and enjoy it by leaving it longer in the only part of you that can enjoy it?

Why The Chew Chew Diet Works

The chew chew diet works because it is simply and utterly impossible to overeat while practicing it.  Imagine, being able to eat whatever you choose, as long as you chew each mouthful until it is liquidized?  You won’t find out the answer to, does the chew chew diet work until you give it a go and see.

The Chew Chew Diet

Can You Get Slim With The Chew Chew Diet?

chew chew diet

Can chewing your food thoroughly make a difference to your size? Those who have successfully lost weight by chewing their food swear by it. The actor Bruce Byron, who plays DC Terry Perkins in The Bill began dieting and at the same time he was writing a column in the paper giving his top tips for losing weight.

He claimed that when he began to chew his food to mush before swallowing the weight began to drop off his body. Why would that be? Well, it takes 20 minutes for the stomach to send “I’m Full” messages to the brain, so if you chew everything properly (give it a good 20 – 30 chews per mouthful), you’ll begin to recognize that you are full before you stuff down a ton more food than you actually need.

Eating quickly is a guarantee that you will overeat and therefore be overweight. Fast eaters plow all the way through each meal, making they don’t waste any of it, just in case world war 3 starts, presumably, and food becomes scarce. When they eat quickly they’ve eaten it all before their poor overworked stomach even has a chance to send on the message.

Then, by the time the message comes it’s desperate………STOOOOOP it yells, (if it could) STOOOOP……but by now it’s too late, the damage has been done, the stomach is bursting. Then they have to lean back, often breathless, and hold their poor stomach in their hands. That’s when the regrets are felt, “OH God, I shouldn’t have eaten that last bit, why did I have seconds,” etc; and all because the poor victim ate too quickly.

The chew-chew diet first became popular in Victorian times when the advice was to chew each mouthful 32 times. Personally I have found that to thoroughly masticate a piece of meat takes anything up to 70 chews but maybe my teeth aren’t as good as they used to be.

Strangely, but not so strangely, the people who have had Gastric bands fitted are also told to chew each mouthful thoroughly. If they fail to do so the food they swallow will not pass through the tiny space that has been left for food to pass into the stomach. This will lead to vomiting and all the food will come back up. So Gastric Band patients are really on a version of the chew-chew diet too.

Gastric Band Surgery v The Chew-Chew Diet

The only difference between surgery and the chew-chew diet is that surgery forces the recipient to eat correctly while the other is a choice. In other words, once you’ve undergone surgery, unless it is reversed, you will be committed to using the chew-chew diet for the rest of your life.

You will no longer be able to take huge mouthful and swallow down food that has been hardly chewed at all. Once you slow down the rate of eating to what it should be, yes the modern way of eating is wrong, it’s not how we were meant to eat, you will lose weight.

Fast food kills and fast food means any food that is eaten quickly, eaten without chewing properly and more or less swallowed whole. Dogs tear at their food and gulp it down without either tasting it or enjoying it, we are not dogs we are humans and we should eat like civilized human beings.

If you are really serious about getting slim you can get slim with the chew-chew diet without denying yourself anything, without going hungry or without calorie counting of any kind. All you have to do is chew and stop when you have had enough, will you do it or will you wait until you have to be operated on and you are forced to do it?

How to Lose Weight Successfully

There’s Only One Way To Lose Weight Successfully

gastric hypno band chichester

Most people have no idea what it takes to lose weight successfully.  That’s because, the majority of successful dieters put their success down to their chosen diet being right for them.  They assume they chose the right diet and/or their determination, their willpower or some other stroke of luck carried them through. Unfortunately, without a true understanding of the mind body connection, the majority of them, one day, find themselves heading back the way they came and putting all the weight back on again.

Once they’ve put all the weight back on again, and more, they often re-visit their old slimming club or re-start their old diet, expecting things to be the same as they were before.  Often they are far from that. Where once the diet may have been easy to stick to, the second time around it could seem hard or impossible to lose the weight!  If the diet isn’t working this time, they may realise that they are just not in the same frame of mind as before yet they may have no idea how to return to that successful state.

Their problem is, they believe that something outside of them created the positive state. They believe it was the right diet, the right time or a host of other factors. They look around for those things but even if they do find them they simply don’t have the same effect any more so what was once easy is now either hard or even impossible. However, the ability to feel good and get into the right frame of mind is within you, it always has been and you have to somehow access it to lose weight successfully.

The condition of overweight is a result of negative thinking and can be created by stress, unhappiness, anger, unforgiveness, self-depreciation, loneliness or any number or combination  of negative situations.  Forget the old tale about the fat jolly person it’s a myth. The overweight person may be smiling on the outside but inside she/he’s miserable. There’s no fun in being in a constant battle with food and in hating you for your weakness and over indulgence.

There’s no jolliness in the name calling every overweight person indulges in or the way you feel about you when you look in the mirror, that’s if you can bear to look in the mirror any more. There’s also no fun in the shame you feel when you see the disdain in people’s eyes and it stands to reason that all the time you feel this way about you and your situation you cannot become slim.

Nonacceptance, self-hatred and inwardly directed anger and blame point in one direction and slim and happy point in the opposite direction. One is north facing and one south facing. Those who lose weight successfully are pointing in one direction only, towards slim and happy.  When all of your senses are pointing towards success, success is where you’ll end up.  To make the changes you need to make to get where you want to go contact your local HypnoSlimmer consultant.

How To Get Slim Fast

Have You Wondered How To Get Slim Fast?

weight loss hypnosis

Have you ever wanted to get slim fast and wondered how to do it? If you are overweight now, the slim you sits in the unexpressed realms of mind, and your job is to find a way to draw it into expression.

You draw things into expression by the process of aspiration and inspiration. Aspiration is something you do; unless you aspire to do something or have something different to whatever you have now, nothing changes. Whatever you give your attention to increases, so if all you do is focus on the overweight you you’ll get more of it.

To make any change you first have to aspire to be or do something different.  It’s no good fighting the overweight you already have; that’s focusing on the problem and all you’ll get is more of the problem.  It’s no good trying to ignore the problem either because the very nature of a problem means you cannot ignore it.

If you don’t like what you are experiencing, aspire to experience something different. If you are overweight, unfit and out of control, aspire to be slim, fit and in control.

To aspire to something is to long for it, or to seek after it.  Certainly if we aspire to be  something we would focus on it.  The word, ‘aspiration’ also shares roots with breathing; as in respiration.  Whatever you aspire to be, you long for and whenever you long for something you think about it often.

Each time you think about the thing you long for and focus on it in imagination; in the unexpressed realm, you breathe life into it.  The more you breathe into it, the more alive it becomes.  The way to get slim fast is to focus on being slim and to do it unceasingly.

Whatever you desire does not come to you, it is expressed from you.  Breathe in and as you breathe out breathe into a picture of the slim and healthy you in mind’s eye.  Aspiration and respiration are linked and the two together can create the body you desire.

When you breathe in, you breathe in spiritual stuff (oxygen), and you use this stuff to breathe life into your dreams and aspirations.   You create the things you desire in the unexpressed realms, filling them with life and when they have been filled and fleshed out with feeling they appear in the physical realm.

Here’s how to get slim fast

Decide how you will look as a slim and healthy person.  Think about how you’ll feel when you reach your goal.  Go into the mental realm of imagination, and seeing yourself slim, imagine how good it feels.  What are you thinking, what are you saying?

Breathe life into the imaginary slim you in the same way Cinderella breathed life into the vision of her at the ball.  The story of Cinderella is the story of creation.  She took her attention away from reality and aspired to dance with the Prince.

If Cinders had sat with her feet in the embers bemoaning her fate, hating her ugly sisters, and plotting ways to take her revenge on them, she would never have got to the ball never mind married the Prince.  The wily Princess ignored her predicament, went into the mental realms (sometimes called the Kingdom of Heaven) and imagined dancing at the ball in the arms of the Prince.

Everything you have now, including your overweight body, comes from the unseen and began its life there. You created what you have by focusing on it and if you want things to change you have to use the same process in reverse.

Get a mental image of a slim you, then feel how good you will feel when you have achieved the thing(s) you aspire to. Do it often; the more attention you give the things you desire,  the more life you breathe into them and the quicker they appear.

Ask solution based questions; ‘how can I get slim,’ ‘what do I need to do to achieve my goal,’ ‘where can I find the perfect way to get slim in the least amount of time,’ and wait for inspiration. Inspiration comes from above. Inspiration spirals back down from above; leading you and guiding you to do the right things, to look in the right places or the find the right information.

Fitting a Virtual Gastric Band

The Journey

Gastric hypno band west sussexFitting a Virtual gastric Band is something I am very familiar with.  As a HypnoSlimmer consultant I have fitted a lot of virtual gastric bands for my clients.  A good proportion of them have had amazingly successful results, some results have been mediocre and for a few nothing has changed.

It’s always disappointing when clients don’t get the results they want and of course one always wonders what one could have done better.  For that reason I am always working on improving my sessions and aiming to increase my clients success rate.

Although I knew that the methods I was using worked I had never actually used them myself.  Over time I had gained a stone which may be a small amount to some but was a niggle to me.  Just after Christmas however, I decided that enough was enough and I threw myself wholeheartedly into the HypnoSlimmer program.

In the beginning things went well and the pounds started to drop off.  Unfortunately, like a lot of people, (did you think we therapists were perfect?) I began to miss hypnosis sessions, blaming pressure of work, tiredness and other commitments and before I knew it the pounds I’d lost came back again.

Instead of despairing and giving up I kept a close watch on what I was doing on the days I regained weight and what I was doing on the days the weight went back down.  Sure enough, low water consumption meant weight gain.  Eating while working meant I would inevitably overeat and gain weight.

Eating when I wasn’t hungry, eating after a certain time in the evening and going to bed feeling full also meant I would be heavier the following morning.  I was also realising that no matter how small my plate and portion of food looked, to my eyes, I was still serving up too large a portion for me.  I was still ending up slightly stuffed after my main meals even though I believed my portions were right.

I know 100%  and without any doubt that any time anyone overeats and finishes their meal stuffed they are putting on weight.  To stay the right weight or to lose weight you have to eat to the point of satisfaction and stop there.  That’s what slim people do.  Slim people do not stuff themselves they eat normally.

I knew I had to work out a way to cut down my portions to the right size for me.  I was aware that I could install my own gastric band as it’s something I do all the time but it was something I had never considered doing on myself.  My training taught me to install a band the size of a golf ball; much too small for someone like me who only needed to lose a stone.

Golf ball sized stomach pouches were, after all, a drastic measure for the very overweight, weren’t they?

Fitting a Virtual Gastric Band

Like many people I purchased Paul McKenna’s book ‘Gastric Band’ when it was published.    I bought it out of curiosity, to check out what Paul was doing and see if I could pick up any tips.  I wanted to listen to the audio to see if it was any different to what we’ve all been doing.

It was different but only in one respect.   Paul’s hypnotic suggestion was fitting a virtual gastric band pouch the size of a tennis ball.  When I read that I was excited because it seemed as if a tennis ball sized pouch would be ideal for me and people like me.

Truthfully, I had always had a bit of an issue with the golf ball sized stomach, thinking it was too restrictive but as it was convention I did it.  Now here was Paul McKenna using a larger pouch and from now on a tennis ball is the size pouch I’ll use, so thank you Paul McKenna.

I decided to fit my own band.  I didn’t use Paul’s CD as hypnosis is always so much more effective if the words are personal to you.  I make my own CD’s and I cut one in a day and used it.  Oh boy, it’s working perfectly.

I have added on the other techniques I give my clients and I am already over half way to my goal in two weeks.

If you’d like help to get the same results contact me at 01243 699646 or 07747 865982

How to Lose Weight Fast

Have You Ever Wondered How To Lose Weight Fast?

how to lose weight fastWe live in an era of speed an age when everyone wants quick results.  Regardless of the fact that the excess weight a person carries took time to accumulate they often want to be rid of it in a short space of time.  That’s why everyone is looking for the quick fix and explains the lure of the latest pill, potion or exotic tea.

Everyone want to know how to lose weight fast and it’s possible to lose it quickly using pills but these have bad side effects.  It’s also possible to starve oneself by going on one of the diets that cuts out food all together and to lose weight quickly.  You may have noticed that the majority of those who do lose weight this way put it all back on again.

The best way to lose weight is to lose it steadily in the same way it was gained which gives the body a chance to adjust and the skin to return to it’s orginal size and shape.  However there are ways of addressing weight problems that can help to lose weight faster than others and there are some things to avoid too.

How to Lose Weight Fast

The things to avoid if you want to lose weight and to lose it fast are diets.  Diets focus on food and the focus while on a diet is generally on what you can’t have.  Cutting out foods, calorie counting, fat reduction, points and the like mean that all the focus is on food, food, food.

People on diets learn which foods are ‘bad’ and which foods are ‘good.’  They learn what to avoid and what they can have and again it’s all food, food, food.  Because of the way the mind works this focus on food will make you crave food and especially the foods you have been told not to have.

To lose weight fast is easier than you ever imagined.  First of all decide what you want, not what you don’t want but what you want.  Keep the focus off food for now and focus on size and shape and level of fitness then write it down.

Now ask yourself the following questions:

  • “What do I have to do to achieve that?”
  • “What sorts of food could I eat to help me to achieve it?”
  • “What portion sizes will be needed to achieve my goal?
  • “How can I enjoy foods and still reach my goal?”

You do know the answers to those questions and if you ask them repeatedly by beginning each day asking, “What could I eat today that will help me to be slim by ……………” or “What size portion shall I eat this evening so I can reach my goal by……………” or “How can I stay on track today so I can achieve my goal of being ……………. on ………….”

The way the human mind is set up, whenever you ask a question your mind has to give you an answer and you have all the knowledge you need within you.  Use the power of your subconscious mind to help you to know how to lose weight fast and to keep it off forever.

The Problem With Sugar

Is There a Problem With Sugar?

The problem with sugarThe problem with sugar is your body is designed to be alkaline in nature and sugar alters the pH of your body making it acidic.   The pH of your blood and bodily fluids is designed to be at a pH of 7.365, which is slightly alkaline. In just the same way your temperature has to stay within a very tight range the same goes for the pH of your bodily fluids.

Your body does create acids naturally through the foods you eat and your bodily functions as you go about your daily activities.  It has it’s own way of neutralise these acids created by our body through it’s day.  To keep you alive your body has to keep the pH of your blood, cells and other fluids at this slightly alkaline level (pH 7.365).

Your body’s own resources are adequate when you are living a natural healthy lifestyle.  However it struggles to cope with a highly acidic diet, a lack of exercise and a highly stressed lifestyle which also adds acids to the body.

The pH scale is logarithmic – so pH 6 is not slightly more acidic than pH 7, it is 10 times more so.   pH 5 is 100x times more acidic than pH 7 and pH 4 is 1000x more acidic and so on.  Cola, with it’s high sugar content and a pH of about 3 is highly acidic.

The Problem With Sugar

Immediately sugar is consumed it dramatically affects the pH of the blood, causing massive stress and damage to the body.  Cola, which is full of suger puts the body on red alert because in an acidic state red blood cells cannot function normally.

The acids that are consumed so freely in our modern lifestyle also ferment in the bloodstream, creating harmful toxins.  These add to the destruction of your body’s internal systems.  Your body is so desperate to rid itself of the toxicity and the lengths it has to and will go to to rid itself of the poisons cause damage to all parts of the body.

Ingested sugar ferments and causes chaos in the body.  The pH is
lowered and bacteria and yeast grows within the body which becomes mold.  Eating sugar  makes your body work so hard you are left feeling unwell and lethargic.  These feelings often make you reach for more sugar creating a vicious cycle that makes you sicker and sicker.

Once the body is full of toxins, yeasts, bacteria and mold further consumption is like throwing sugar on a fire.  Your body becomes more and more polluted and stressed.  The bacteria and yeasts also feed of the good foods you eat and you feel less benefit for eating them than you would or even should.

You probably know already what sort of foods are acid forming.  They are generally the foods you already believe are bad for you.  They consist of: sweets, chocolates, fizzy drinks of all kinds, chips, bread, burgers, white pasta, beer, wine and many more.

Some alkaline foods are listed below:  Fresh foods, leafy green vegetables, salads and nuts are alkaline.  To help your body return to it’s optimum state you simply need to start focusing 70-80% of your diet on the alkaline foods and limit, as much as possible, the acid foods.

An overweight body is an acid body; the more overweight the more acid it becomes or the more acid the more overweight it becomes. Eating an alkaline diet will improve your weight dramatically, why not try it and see?
